Bettie Gadd

Bettie Gadd, age 87 of Fairfield, passed away at Fairfield Pavilion on Monday, April 14, 2014. She was born in Hamilton on September 25, 1926 to Raish and Ethel (Halcomb) Burns. On August 31, 1951 she married Jesse Gadd in Liberty, Indiana. She worked for the Board of Education, Bendix, Champion Papers and for Cape Canaveral Space Center. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene for many years.

She survived by her son Barry Gadd of Virgina Beach; grandchildren Barry Jr., Christina and Stephanie; great-grandchildren Miley and Jesse; and her great-nephew Andrew, who is a great young man to care for her in her years after Jesse died. There are many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jesse, and her son Charles Edward Gadd. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Crossroads Hospice.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
