Betty Rose Black, age 69 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 5:25 AM. She was born in Casey County, Kentucky on May 30, 1941 the daughter of Lousel and Lizzie (Baxter) Justice. Betty was a chef at Bob Evans and a member of Eagles #3986. On August 25, 1979 in Newport, Kentucky she married Bill Black.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Black of Hamilton; a son, Mark (Janice) McAninch of Hamilton; a daughter, Tammy Ernst of Hamilton; four stepchildren, Chuck (Laura) Black of Texas, Stacey (Jeff) McKeehen of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Timmy (Carla) Black of Florence, Kentucky, and Kevin (Becky) Black of Erlanger, Kentucky; a brother, Shelby of Kentucky; a sister, Imogene (Eugene) of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her mother-in-law, Bessie Black of Bellevue, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Earl, J.R., Hershel, Kermit, Alger, and Richard; three sisters, Leona, Lela, and Eula; and a grandson, William Ernst.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Gary Zoz officiating. Cremation will be held. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
