Betty J. Dunmyer, age 87 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Friday, October 3, 2014. She was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky on October 4, 1926 to Hoover and Jessie (Hay) House. On December 26, 1945 she married Gene Dunmyer and together they enjoyed over 68 years of marriage. Betty was employed at the City of Hamilton for over 30 years.
She is survived by her husband Gene and daughter Pamela (Rich) Hendel; grandsons Jason Hendel and Jared (Allegra) Hendel; one brother William (Ann) House; nephews Benjamin (Linda) House, Timothy House, Michael Scurlock and Steven Scurlock; nieces Cynthia (Luke) Crosby and Kristy Lorentsen; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Eva (Frank) Scurlock.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
