Betty Jo Metcalf

Betty Jo Metcalf, age 82 of West Harrison, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on March 26, 1933 the daughter of Percy and Oma (Saylor) Lawwill. On July 3, 1952 in Indiana she married Tom Metcalf and he preceded her in death in 2010. Betty was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center in Harrison.

She is survived by four sons, Tommy L. (Tammy D.) Metcalf of Harrison, Ohio, Danny (Cathy) Metcalf of Harrison, Ohio, Bobby (Lula M.) Metcalf of West Harrison, Indiana, and Jimmy (Kimberly A.) Metcalf of West Harrison, Indiana; one brother, Melvin (Sandy) Lawwill of Cocoa, Florida; two sisters, Rose Lawwill of Winter Garden, Florida and Emma Martin of Port St. John, Florida; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Metcalf; her parents; and five siblings, James, Bob, Gene, and Winston Lawwill, and Nancy L. Ward.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM with her three sons, Tommy, Bobby, and Jimmy Metcalf officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison. Visitation will be held today, Thursday, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
