Betty Ratliff

Betty Ratliff, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away surrounded by her family Friday, September 6, 2013. She was born in Knox County, KY on August 5, 1934 to Jess and Fannie (Broughton) Gray. In 1979 Betty was one of the first women hired at Southwestern Ohio Steel where she worked until retiring in 1992.

She is survived by her children, James Baker, Michael (Lisa) Baker, Edward Clemans, Kelli (Charles) Miles and Shawna (Dan) Roos; siblings, Cecil (Ginny) Gray, Alberta (Don) Berry and Connie (James) O'Shea; grandchildren, Gregory Richards, Shannon Creech, Brooklynn, Haley and Dalton Roos and CJ and Ryan Miles; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pamela Baker Douglas; and siblings, Mary Bobbit, Vina Combs, Doris Newberry, Ralph Gray, Walter Gray, Gladys Jackson, Amanda Gray and Georgia Eversole. The family would like to extend their thanks to Southwest Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion.

Visitation will be held 5-8pm Monday, September 9, 2013 at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue. Funeral service will be held 10am, Tuesday, September 10, 2013 also at the funeral home on Pershing Avenue with Pastor Barry Clardy officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
