Betty Ruth Short

Betty Ruth Short, age 82 of Hamilton passed away at Berkeley Square Health Care on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:25 PM. She was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky on September 26, 1928 the daughter of Mart and Zona Mae (Lambert) Ingles. Betty enjoyed gardening, music, but above all her main focus and enjoyment in life was her family and her faith in God. In August 1968 she was married to Robert H. Short, who preceded her in death in 1998.

She is survived by two daughters, Z. Ann Rowe and Regina L. (Terry) Baker, all of Hamilton; two sons, William David (Ivy) Kash of Hamilton and Robert R. (Beth) Short of Mansfield, Ohio; two sisters, Rose (Rev. Ralph) Barlow of Mansfield and Marie (George) Elliott of Olive Hill, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Dawn (Eric) Bumgardner of Hamilton, Duane Rowe of Japan, Scott (Heather) Baker of Hamilton, Rick Baker of Hamilton, Kimberly (Steve) Miller of Hamilton, Chris (Amber Coffey) Kash of Hamilton, Melissa (Jeff) Staples of Monroe, and Lauren Short of Mansfield; nine great-grandchildren, Riley, Kylee, Hannah, Emma, Will, Nicklaus, Kelsey, Cory, Brady and two on the way; two step-sons; and eight step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Robert H. Short; former spouse, William Kash, five brothers, Gilbert, Clarence, Junior, Roger and Benny; and two sisters, Ruby and Marceline.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Ken Ritz of New Life Vineyard Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Berkeley Square Health Care for all their excellent and professional care of their mother.
