Betty Jane Ward

Betty Jane Ward, age 91, was born May 16, 1926 to Arthur S. Ranke Sr. and Mildred (Buell) Ranke in Hamilton, Ohio. She passed away on August 16, 2017. She married Milford Ward in Bremerton, Washington on January 19, 1945. After raising a family, she was a manger of Aster Court Apt., Germantown and later was employed at the Hamiltonian Hotel for 21 years. She loved her apartment on Thomas Blvd where visitors would find her quilting, watching John Wayne movies or moving her furniture around. Wednesdays with "the girls" was the highlight of her week.

She is survived by her daughters, Tanya (Terry) Moore, Linda (Charles) Fields, Terry West, Karen Ward, and Joane (Steve) Nevin; her sisters, Joann Topmiller, Lois Weaver, Ruth Spada, Barbara Schoenfeld; her brothers, Charles "Jack" and Arthur Ranke Jr.; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Richard Ward, and her son-in-law, Ken West. In spite of hardships, she never gave up. We will miss you, Mom.
