Beverly Goins

Beverly Goins, age 85 of New Miami passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 3:10 AM. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on February 28, 1926 the son of Clayborn and Lula (Hibbard) Goins. Beverly was employed as a machine tender at Champion Paper Company for 37 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Fairfield Church of God. On August 28, 1971 in Manchester, Kentucky he married Lois (Owens) Keith.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Goins of New Miami; one daughter, Diane (Brent) Jenkins of Sarasota, Florida; two step-children, Marsha (Robert) Brewer and Marcus Keith, both of Hamilton; four brothers, Jimmy (Brenda) Goins, Les (Linda) Goins, Cassius Goins, all of Hamilton, and Kenneth (Kyoko) Goins of Japan; two sisters, Mary (Burton) Hobson of Columbus and Mattie "Tootsie" (Don) Reed of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Brenda Reedy; four brothers, Jarvis, Glendon, Clarence, and Robert Goins; and two sisters, Wanda Metcalf and Lucy Gibson.

Funeral service will be held at the Fairfield Church of God, 6001 Dixie Hwy, on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Darryl McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Hospice of Hamilton.
