Beverly Jean McElfresh, age 79 of Hamilton passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 3:08 AM. She was born in Covington, Kentucky on February 19, 1931 the daughter of George and Mary (Vargason) Carris. On October 16, 1965 in Hamilton, she married Eugene McElfresh, and he preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by a daughter, Lori Jean McElfresh of Hamilton; four nieces, Donna (Gregg) Hoover, Tonya (Tony) Kolker, Diane Carris and Terri Moorehead; a nephew, John Carris; numerous great-nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; a loving devoted neighbor, Doug Harris of Hamilton; and a number of dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and George Carris; and her loving dog, Kado. Beverly will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her daughter and best friend, Lori.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
