Bill C. Calloway

Bill C. Calloway, age 80 of Fairfield passed at away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 9:30 AM. He was born in Blackmont, Kentucky on March 21, 1930 the son of Richard and Alpha (Daugherty) Calloway. Bill was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He was employed as a technician at Ford Motor Company for 33 years, retiring in 1992. Bill was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church. On June 20, 1965 in Cumberland, Kentucky he married Jewell Hayes.

He is survived by his wife, Jewell Calloway of Fairfield; three children, Billy R. (Delcie) Calloway of Pineville, Kentucky, Tammy (Larry) Bolden of Cincinnati, and Lisa (Jeff) Guiler of Fairfield; five sisters, Ettaleen (Lloyd) Scarborough of Fairfield, Muriel (Bill) Harbin of Kentucky, Lois (Dorman) Crabtree of Kentucky, Doris (Donny) Wilson of Chicago, Illinois and Wilma Lay of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edgar Calloway.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Danny Rollins of Rolling Hills Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
