Bill "M.C." Dishmon

Bill "M.C." Dishmon, age 67 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 9:55 AM. He was born in Tunica, Mississippi on May 5, 1941 the son of Cartrell and Eula Mae (Dotson) Dishmon. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Vietnam Era from 1963 to 1983; he was then employed in the U.S. Army Civil Service for twenty years, retiring in 2006. He was a Kentucky Colonel. On July 13, 1977 he married Sherry Dellene Frazier.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Dellene Dishmon of Hamilton; two sons, Christopher (Amy) Dishmon and Brian Dishmon; a daughter, Valeria (Eugene) Broadnax; two brothers, Freddie Lee Dishmon and Jimmie Dishmon; two sisters, Jessie Shields and Margaree McGee; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Earl, James, Joe, and Maurice Dishmon; and three sisters, Annie Lee, Bobbie Shipp, and Alberta Lenoir.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Crane, Lisa and Care Oncology staff, and a special thanks to Hospice of Cincinnati and the Gephart Center.
