Billy Joe Bowling, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 7, 2015. He was born in Wheelwright, Kentucky on December 31, 1936 to James and Alma (Griffith) Bowling. On October 30, 1962 in Hamilton he married Shirley Ann Nelson. He was a great man of God, a prayer warrior, and was well loved and respected by friends and family alike.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bowling; children, Roberta (Wesley) Brown, James (Donna) Bowling, Billy (Renee) Bowling, and Norman (Jaimie) Bowling; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Kay Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by 3 siblings; and his parents.
Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Norman Paslay II of The Calvary Church officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at The Calvary Church, 11970 Kenn Rd., Cincinnati 45240.
