Billy J. Haney

Billy J. Haney, age 75 of Hamilton went home to be with the Lord at Butler County Care Facility on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 5:20 PM. He was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on January 11, 1935. Billy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed in environmental services at Mercy Hospital in Hamilton for 16 years, retiring in 1997. On August 6, 1955 in Williamsburg, Kentucky he married Nell M. Davis, and she preceded him in death in 2006.

He leaves behind Diana (Ken) Baumgartner, who is proud to be called his daughter and counted it as a blessing to care for him the last several years. Billy is also survived by his grandsons Nathanael and Jameson. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronnie Lee Haney.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Nathanael Baumgartner officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.
