Billy Earl Spicer, age 67 of Hamilton went home to be with the Lord at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Wednesday, March 3, 2011 at 1:50 PM. He was born in Irvine, Kentucky on October 6, 1943 the son of Earl and Mabel (Stamper) Spicer. Billy was employed at Miter Masonry for #534 Laborers Union. He loved the outdoors and camping, and was a 4-H leader for 10 years. In 1968 in Hamilton, he married Sharon Langlais.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Sharon Spicer of Hamilton; three sons, Cecil (Lisa) Spicer, Jamie (Barb) Spicer, and Chad (Tabitha) Spicer, all of Hamilton; a daughter, Heather (Mick) Marlow of Hamilton; two sisters, Anna (Clyde) Reiff and Gracie Spicer, both of Seven Mile; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jason Spicer; a brother, Roy Spicer; and a sister, Linda Thompson.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ron Howard of Morning Star Christian Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The family would especially like to thank Pastor Ron Howard, his wife Becky, and Morning Star Christian Fellowship for all the love, prayers and support and to Billy’s beloved physicians Dr. Su Nalagatla and Dr. Paula Weisenberger.
