Birtle "Jean" Burns

Birtle “Jean” Burns, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 8, 2021. Jean was born in Buckhorn, Kentucky on September 3, 1939 to the late James and Lettie (Gay) Strong. Jean had various jobs over the years, but her favorite was being a mom and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and canning things from her garden. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Jean will be dearly missed by her sons, Jack Burns and Jay Burns; her grandson, Shane Burns, her great-grandchildren; Payton & Arizona; her sister, Dixie (Mark) Bailey; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members & friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Burns; her daughter, Jill Burns; her sisters, Rene, Priscilla, and Glenna; and her brothers, Roy, Hobert, Bud, Jack, and Roger.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 10:30 AM until the time of her Funeral service at 11:30 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
