Blan (Pete) Ballard

Pete Ballard, age 70 of Fairfield, passed away at Mercy Hospital on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 1:03 AM. He was born in Lynn, Indiana on December 3, 1943 the son of Blan and Lucille (Todd) Ballard. Pete was employed as a press operator at Fisher Body for 30 years, retiring in 1998. On April 21, 1962 in Hamilton he married Janie Couch.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Ballard of Fairfield; four daughters, Teresa Seals of Hamilton, Jeanne Cheryl (Rodney) Jones of Fairfield, Jewel Alina (Randy) Sandlin of Fairfield, Billie Jo (Rich) Anderson of Ross; eight grandchildren, Stephene (Chris) Seals-Spahn, Rebecca Jones, Shannon Seals, Jacob Anderson, Jordan Jones, Rachel Jones, Sierra Anderson, and Janielizabeth Anderson; a great granddaughter (Raylee Jo) on the way; and his mom, Lucille Ballard. He was preceded in death by his dad, Blan Ballard and son-in-law, Tony Seals.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Tom Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
