Blanche Hensley

Blanche Hensley, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Kettering Hospital Hamilton on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Blanche was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on March 2, 1939 to the late Farmer and Mae (Jones) Smallwood. Blanche grew up in Hamilton and was a nurse’s aide for many years, spending most of her career at Golden Years Nursing Home. In her leisure time and retirement, Blanche enjoyed cooking for her family and occasionally finding something nice for them on QVC. Above all, Blanche will be remembered for her warm kindness and love that she had for her family.

Blanche will be dearly missed by her children, Tonya (Jason) Ryan and Jimmy Warren; her grandchildren, Anthony (Brittany) Hensley, Della (Dylan) Hensley, Devin (Alexis) Hensley, Jenny Warren, Megan (Matt) Deems, Kristy (Mike) Brandenburg; her 15 great-grandchildren; her siblings, John Smallwood, Harold Smallwood, and Theodore Smallwood; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Blanche is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Clinton B. Hensley; her infant son, Teddy Eugene; her siblings, Ruth Smith, Retha Castle, Ida Smallwood, and Barbara Jean Smallwood.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Services at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home – Historic Downtown Chapel, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton OH 45011. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
