Bobbie E. Johnson

Bobbie E. Johnson, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Bobbie was born in Fairfield, Ohio on May 8, 1927 to Ernest Johnson and Frances (Kelley) Johnson. He was a United States Veteran with the Coast Guard, serving during WWII. Bob was also a millwright for many years working at Fernald, General Motors, and Pillsbury. On June 24, 1967 in Hamilton, he married Betty Meinhardt.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Betty Johnson; two children, James (Vicky) Johnson and Karen (Norbert) Doellman; eight grandchildren, Rob, Lindsey, Katie, Andrew, Troy, Bridget, Annie, and Henrik; two sisters, Margie Stratman and Mary Jane Bober; a devoted cousin, Jim Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and a devoted friend Larry Baldwin. Bobbie was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Salher; his parents; and one granddaughter, Angela Chaney.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
