Bonnie Callahan

Bonnie W. Callahan, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, December 28, 2018. Bonnie was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 22, 1929 to Brad and Gracie (Burns) Callahan. He was an operator in construction and a proud member of the Ohio Operating Engineers for over 50 years. He worked for various companies in the Hamilton area during this time. Bonnie was also a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, Shriners, and a Kentucky Colonel. In 1945 he married Sadie Allen and they had 3 boys and a daughter. Sadie passed away on January 8, 1981. He then married Cheryl Parrish and they had a daughter, Chrislynn. He loved riding horses with his family, fishing, vacationing with his friends from this area. He enjoyed drinking his morning coffee with friends at the Valley view and a few cold ones in the evening whenever he could.

Bonnie is survived by his wife, Cheryl Callahan; his daughter, Chrislynn Callahan; his son Bonnie Dean (Jackie) Callahan; his sister, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mike Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Cincinnati for all their support and care of Bonnie during this difficult time.
