Bonnie Dean Callahan

Bonnie Dean Callahan, age 77 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 1, 1948 the son of Bonnie W. and Sadie (Allen) Callahan. Bonnie Dean was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Ohio Operating Engineers Union Local 18 District 4 for more than fifty years. He was a member of the Columbia Lodge 44 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, and the Edgewood Baptist Church. On December 23, 1982, in Hamilton he married Jackie Callahan.

Bonnie Dean is survived by his wife, Jackie Callahan; five children, Sadie (Kelly) Engle, Tammy (Eddie) McIntosh, Kevin (Terrie) Johnson, Bryan Callahan, and Casey Lewis; eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Darrell Callahan, Roger Callahan, and Diane Elton; and grandson, Keenan Johnson.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Keith Risner of Edgewood Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
