Bonnie B. Taylor, age 82, of Liberty Twp. passed on to the presence of the Lord on February 25, 2011 at Hospice of Hamilton. Born September 1, 1928 in Harlan County, Kentucky where she was a graduate of Black Star High School. She is survived by her husband, Henry C. Taylor; son, Nick Taylor; daughter, Denise Harrison; granddaughters, Nicole Taylor and Hayley Taylor; sister, Barbara Books; foster daughter, Glenda Fields; and several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Mary (Blanton) Bennett of Kentucky, and a sister, Elizabeth Shields.
Bonnie was employed by the Kroger Co. as a young woman and later volunteered at the former Mercy North Hospital in Hamilton. She was honored to be chosen as Grand Marshal in the Liberty Twp. parade and served as an EMT on the Liberty Twp. Life Squad for 11 years. Bonnie taught many children as a Sunday School teacher at Hamilton Christian Center. Known for her humor, she loved to laugh with her family and friends who loved her. She enjoyed attending Bluegrass music gatherings.
Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Wednesday, March 2nd at 1:00 PM with Rev. Diane Mullins of Calvary Christian Center and Rev. Larry Davis of Hamilton Assembly of God officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Cincinnati. Bonnie’s family extends their appreciation to Dr. Gregory Savage, Dr. Deborah Hanger, their staffs, and to Liberty Twp. Fire and EMS members for their care and kindness.
