Brenda Lee Burress

Brenda Lee Burress, age 59 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, July 29, 2017. Brenda was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 10, 1957 to William and Mary Iona (Shiplet) Jones. Brenda graduated from Ross High School in 1974 at the age of 16. She went to Miami University and later received her Master’s in Education. Brenda was a second grade teacher at New Miami Elementary School for 18 years. Brenda loved spending her time reading, listening to music, and above all, being with her family, especially her grandson, Jace.

Brenda is survived by her children, Erin McIntosh and Brandon Burress; her grandson, Jace; her mother, Mary Iona Jones; her siblings, Karen Jones and Dennis (Hollis) Jones; her niece, Jessica (Rick Britan) Jones; and her great nieces, Madeline Grace and Lily Glass. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, William Q. Jones Jr.

With her father’s passing, just one day previously, the family has decided to combine the services on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue. Visitation from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at the funeral home. A memorial for Brenda will be scheduled at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
