Brenda Faye Cassano

Brenda Faye Cassano, age 70 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 3:30 AM. She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on February 25, 1940 the daughter of Inncencio and Mary (Santos) Flora. Brenda was employed as a cafeteria manager for Hamilton City Schools for 16 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of The Harmonettes and the quartet Just Friends for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Cassano of Hamilton; three children, Cher (Gary) Miller of Hamilton, Michael (Rhonda) Cassano of Fairfield Township, and Michelle (Rick) Williams of Middletown; five grandchildren, Jason (Kristen) Withrow, Candice (Ricky) Muffler, Cassie Cassano, Brittany Cassano, and Tyler Williams; three great-grandsons, Logan, Ashton, and Trevor; and a sister, Sandra (Bruce) Monteiro of Daytona Beach, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Inncencio Flora and Mary Flora-Pimental.

Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Monday with Pastor Ken Ritz of New Life Vineyard Church officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati.
