Brenda Sue Puckett, age 74 of Hamilton, Ohio, peacefully left life’s journey with her family by her side on Thursday, June 25, 2026. She was born to Edward and Fannie (King) Kelley on November 3, 1951. Brenda was welcomed by her savior, and open arms by her parents Edward and Fannie Kelley, and the love of her life, Harry Puckett, who preceded her to being in everlasting glory.
Brenda is survived by her sister, Barbara Grear; her children, Angel (Larry) Rasnick, Harry (Crystal) Puckett, and Kelli (Mark) Arts; grandchildren, Miranda (Adam) Plemmons, Rachel Queen, Ariel Puckett, Katie (Gavin) Thompson, Lilly Harmon, Ashley (Dan) Huff, Bradley (Kara) Rasnick, Brooke Rasnick, Jason Dickhaus, and Justin Dickhaus; great grandchildren, Rylee, Emmett, Emerson, Tristen, Raegan, and Ollie; her niece, Kimberly Gregory; great nephew, Bryan Leis; and cousin who was dear to her heart, Anjie Wine.
She was known as “Mom” to many of our childhood friends who adored her as their own. She had an impact on everyone she met, and her intelligence always kept her a step ahead in life. Her family was her cherished treasure and there was never a dull moment when she was present. Brenda always taught us that life doesn’t have a price tag on happiness and it’s free to enjoy life’s beauty and what the world has to offer. She loved her music, making crafts, family genealogy and made every effort to be a part of everyone’s life and share herself selflessly to those who needed. Brenda could carry the weight of the world on her shoulders and you’d never know it. She will be missed by many, but always in our hearts and thoughts. To best remember Brenda, put on “Something we get through” by Willie Nelson, close your eyes, and think of all the joyful times she shared with us. We’d like to extend a Special Thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati in Hamilton, for treating our Mother with so much dignity and compassion.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 3-5 PM at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45011
