Brenda Diane Giddens

Brenda Diane Giddens, age 68 of Kettering, left her earthly residence to be home with the Lord on February 11, 2022. Brenda was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 3, 1953 to the late Neal and Mattie (Murray) Brackett. Brenda is reunited in Heaven with her husband Owen Giddens, as well as her parents and many loved ones that have passed before her.

Brenda will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Margrett and Phil Braaksma; her grandchildren, Philip (Chelsea) Braaksma, Casey (Laura) Braaksma, Lexi (Alex) Bolka, and Owen Braaksma; her great-grandchildren, Ellis and Ren Braaksma; her siblings, Von (Linda) Brackett, Janie (Butch) Stewart, and Willie Brackett; her sister by Love, Alice Fieler. She was a wonderful Auntie to her nieces; Diana (Arnie) Turner, Nicole (Andy) Wetherill, Fanny (Roger) Williams, Teresa (Jason) Cathers, Robin (Josh) Jones, Melissa Nichols, and many very special great-nephews and great-nieces.

She was so blessed to have so many people call her family, friend or even a second Mother.  Anyone who knew her knows she loved with all of her heart and would do anything for anyone.   Now she is being rewarded in heaven with the one she loved the most, Jesus.  Forever she will be at the beach with him and the sun will be always be shining.  All her dreams and “Wishes” have come true.  As a family we are greatly blessed to know we have the promise we will see her again.  Until then we have so many memories of the fun loving person we were so honored to have in our lives. So we will rejoice in her homecoming and we will see her in the blink of an eye.

We would like to thank all the nurses from Hospice of Dayton who were so kind and helpful.  And the family and friends that were praying for us and with us all until she made her crossing, our family is grateful for all of you.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022  from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio.  Funeral Services will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Arnie Turner officiating.  Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
