Bruce H. Hastings

Bruce H. Hastings, age 69 of Trenton, passed away at UC West Chester Hospital on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Brucewas born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 3, 1949 to Ralph and Antionette Hastings. Bruce attended Talawanda Local Schools. In 1986, he married Sherry Long in Hamilton, OH. Bruce served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a Union Roofer with Local 42. Bruce was a life member of the VFW and American Legion. Bruce enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sherry Hastings; his daughters, Jennette (Mark) Demeropolis and Stephanie (Steve) Vanwormer; his step-sons, Mark and Jason Schroder; his grandchildren, Elias, Eva, Luke, Lainy, Brian, Aaron, Sara (Chris), Joe, and Rachel; his great-grandchildren, Jayce, Ella, and Leo; his siblings, Jane Rose and Mary Jean Hastings; his brother-in-law, Danny (Sherry) Long; and many other loving family members and friends. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; his first-wife, Vera Mae Rogers-Hastings on March 19, 1980; his brothers, Bill and Mark Hastings; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Long.

Graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Britt Hensley and Danny Long officiating.
