Bruce A. Hutchens, age 86 of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, formerly of Reily, Ohio passed away at Veteran’s Adminstration Hospital, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, on Thursday, July 21, 2011. He was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky on April 30, 1925 the son of Joseph and Rosa (White) Hutchens. Bruce was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and he retired from General Electric in Evendale. He was a lifetime member of Pentecostal Highway of Holiness.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes L. (Schierer) Hutchens of Taylor Mill; a son, Keith (Jane) Hutchens of Mixerville, Indiana; five daughters, Brenda (Daniel) Conrad of Middletown, Karen (Kevin) Miller of Camden, Sharon Hutchens of Connersville, Indiana, Sheila Bolser of College Corner, and Sara (Scott) Chandley of Oxford; a stepson, Michael (Marie) Hiance of Burlington, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Terry (Paul) Seltman of Cincinnati and Debbie (Chris) Hankins of Grant County, Kentucky; a brother, Dallas (Delphia) Hutchens of Richmond, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Alma (Cheek) Hutchens in 1996; a son, Bruce Steven Hutchens in 1987; and seven siblings.
Funeral service will be held at Pentecostal Highway of Holiness, 3470 Hamilton-Middletown Road, on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Pascarella officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery North. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
