Burnell Foister, age 63 of Hamilton passed away as the result of an auto accident near Mt. Vernon, Kentucky on Saturday, July 10, 2010. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on July 1, 1947, the son of Willie "Bill" and Birdie (Marcum) Foister. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. Burnell was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Livingston, Kentucky. On May 1, 1965 in London, Kentucky, he married Gaye Etta Hicks.
He is survived by Gaye Etta Foister of Hamilton; his son, Terry Foister of Hamilton; his daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Wynn of Oxford; grandchildren, Brandon Foister of Dayton, Cameron Foister of Hamilton, Jillian & Jaklyn Wynn both of Oxford; his mother, Birdie Foister of London, Kentucky; two brothers, Elmer (Sharon) Foister and Jimmy (Judy) Foister & two sisters, Bruin (David) Logan and Irene Sturgill all of London, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 12 Noon with Pastor Clophas Shackelford of Cherry Valley United Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM to 12 Noon.
