Carl V. Cox

Carl V. Cox, aged 85, of Hamilton, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023. He was born in Hamilton on August 20, 1938, the son of Montford V. Cox and Matilda (Garrison) On May 7, 1960, he married Bette Jean Bieberbach in Hebron, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Paul Cox and three sisters Doris Forman, Karen Horton, Joyce Hayes; his wife, Bette Jean (Bieberbach) and his grandson, David Cox.

He is survived by his five children, Samuel Cox and his wife Debbie of Nebraska, IN., Anita Turner of Camden, OH, Carla Smith of Hamilton, Timothy Cox of Hamilton, and Peter Cox and his wife Sasha of Aurora, IN.; 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Mr. Cox enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on January 2, 1956 and served until his retirement on June 1, 1978. He was employed at Southwestern Ohio Steel from June 9, 1978 until his retirement on September 1, 2003. Carl’s interests included Astronomy, World History, Geology and Genealogy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery in Overpeck, Ohio.
