Carl Benjamin Glaab Jr., age 98 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Carl was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on October 20, 1926 to Carl B. Sr. and Emma (nee Lowe) Glaab. Carl served in the United States Army. On October 2, 1948, he married Wanda Gordon and together they raised seven children. Carl enjoyed working in the foundry industry, starting in the pattern making department encompassing management to include owning his own business. He was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church and a life member of Monkey Mutual Aid Society.
Carl is survived by his sons, Michael, David, Robert (Mary Jane) and Christopher Glaab; his in-laws, Randy Blanton, Theodore Meeker and Donna Glaab; his grandchildren, Timothy Glaab, Amy Kerbo, Jonathan B. Campbell, Sara Stone, Jennifer Mounce, James Glaab, Theodore Meeker, Carl Glaab, Mathew Glaab, Brandy Willis, Alain Blanton, Emily Rosenberg, Sally Wilson, and Cassandra Glaab; his 27 great-grandchildren; his 6 great great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Sandy (Bob) Isreal and Sue Glaab; and a host of nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 31 years, Wanda Glaab; his children, Mary Meeker, Barbara Blanton and Joseph Glaab; and his second wife of 29 years, Hallie Glaab.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton St., Hamilton, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM with celebrant Fr. Nam Vu. Burial will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to American Heart Association.
