Carl Hensley Miller

Carl Hensley Miller, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Carl was born in Richmond, Kentucky on July 1, 1935 to Emmitt E. Miller and Nannie (Hensley) Miller. Carl was employed at Champion International Paper Company for 43 years retiring in 1996. He was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan, and loved spending time with family. Carl was also a founding member and elder of the Hamilton Christian Center, where he served faithfully in many capacities of the church.

Carl is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Miller; his children, Dwayne (Lisa) Miller and Leah (Tony) Edwards; his grandchildren, Jordan (Aleah) Miller, Jackie (Bobby) Knowles, Josh Miller, and Maggie Gamel; and his great grandchildren, Aubrie, Bryson, Connor, Tyler, Ethan, Dylan, Emma, Sam, and Hailey. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt E. Miller and Nannie Miller; and one grandson, Keith Link.

Funeral service will be held at Hamilton Christian Center, 1940 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Johnny Wade Sloan of Hamilton Christian Center officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hamilton Christian Center. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
