Carl Pennington

Carl Pennington, age 88 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Carl was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 4, 1938 to Lawrence and Nellie (nee Martin) Pennington. He proudly served in the United States Army. On December 7, 1984, Carl married the love of his life, Rose Pennington. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 40 years of service. Carl was a farmer at heart, he was always found outdoors whether mowing or taking care of his fruit trees and garden.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Rose Pennington; his children, Curt (Darlene) Pennington, Terri (Kenny) Becknell, Wayne (Machelle) Hensley, Larry (Mila) Hensley, Gary (Dora) Hensley and Darin Hensley; his 20 grandchildren; his 14 great-grandchildren; his 1 great great-grandchild; his siblings, Gene, Clarence (Donna) and Elmer (Bev) Pennington; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Wilma, Raymond, Dillard “D.D.”, Ronnie, Clayton, Lorene, Allene and Clyde.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM with Pastor Wendell Coning officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.
