Carlie Mae Smith

August 12, 1941 — May 21, 2011

Carlie Mae Smith, age 69 of Hanover Twp., passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Saturday May 21, 2011. She was born in Perry Co., Kentucky on August 12, 1941 the daughter of William and Harriett (Baker) Hamblin. Carlie was employed at Queen of Peace Catholic Church for the past ten years and was an associate member of Butler County Sportsman Club. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, and family gatherings. On August 8, 1959 in Hamilton, she married William Thomas Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William Smith; daughter, Cheryl Smith; two sons, Christopher (Cindy) Smith and Nathan (Krystle Bouchard) Smith; two grandchildren, Patricia (Jason) Smith-Steele and Rebecca Smith; brothers, James (Kathy) Hamblin; Carl (Rhonda) Hamblin; Larry (Faye) Hamblin; Ike (Joyce) Hamblin ; Douglas (JoLynn) Hamblin; and Rick Hamblin; sisters Carol (Ray) Kuykendall; Barbara (Willie) Kilburn; and Tammy (Richard) Estep; many nieces and nephews and good friend Bobbie Farthing. She was preceded in death by her parents.

An Urn Memorial Service will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Ave., on Friday, May 27th at 4:00pm with Deacon Bill Brunsman officiating.
