Carl R. Rubush

Carl R. Rubush, age 59 of Hamilton, previously Brookville, IN, passed away at Kettering Hospital Hamilton on Monday, September 9, 2024. Carl was born in Connorsville, Indiana on March 10, 1965 to Alvin Von and Lucille (Geiling) Rubush. Carl worked for Panel Barn Lumber for over 30 years. After meeting on a blind date in 1996, he married the love of his life, Anita Hannahs on September 16, 2000. Carl was an avid WWII buff especially interested in aviation and was an avid gamer.

Carl is survived by his wife of 24 years, Anita Rubush; his son, David Von Rubush; his siblings, Don (Barb) Rubush, Kim (Steve) Roemer, and Bruce Rubush; his in-laws, Bill, Mary, John (Jill) and Andrea Hannahs; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends.  Carl was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Rex and Ina Hannahs; and his grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Funeral service will be held following at 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in Carl’s honor to American Cancer Society or in his mother and mother-in-law’s honor to Alzheimer’s Association.
