Carol Rae Lay-Davis

Carol Rae Lay-Davis, age 58 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 6:00 PM. She was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky on May 11, 1952 the daughter of Fred Jr. and Hester (Wesley) Lay. On October 3, 1992 in Hamilton she married Larry Davis. Carol spent most of her life in Hamilton and was a devout Christian who attended many churches during her residences in Ohio and Florida.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Davis of Hamilton; two children, Michael (Martin Ulloa) Lay of Orlando, Florida and Don-Nichole Rae Lay of Hamilton; her mother, Hester Lay-Bales of Cincinnati; Michael’s best friend, Leah Bryan of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Charles Simmons, Michael Simmons, and Marcus Simmons; sister, Kim Hope McMahon of Cincinnati; aunt, Margaret E. Wesley of Cincinnati; five nieces and nephews, David, Amanda, and Brian Wesley, and Stefani and Daniel McMahon; and brother, Bill Wesley. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents, William and Zelma Wesley.

Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM with Rev. Edwin R. Beck, Pastor of McGonigle/Millville/Darrtown United Methodist Churches officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
