Carol Sue York, age 62 of Okeana passed away at her residence on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at 1:28 PM. She was born in Hamilton on August 4, 1944 the daughter of William and Frances (Cope) Miller. Carol was employed as a nursing assistant at Centerhaven Nursing Home.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth (Joyce) York of Falcon, Missouri; four daughters, Terri (Isamu) Sugiura of Hyuga-Dai, Japan, Kathy (Chris) Dashley of Ross, Julia Martin of Ross, and Allison Southerland of Anderson, Indiana; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Janet Faye Miller of Douglasville, Georgia and Helen (Carl) Conklin of Liberty, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Steve Gresham officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
