Carole L. Castrucci

This is the life of my Grandma, Carole Lee Castrucci. She was born on December 13th, 1933 to Arthur Borger (her Father) and Hazel Borger (her Mother). She was a loving sister to Arthur Borger Jr. and wife to Robert Castrucci Sr.

After marrying her high school sweetheart, Robert (my Grandpa), on March 7th, 1951, they began growing their own family; starting with Lynda Castrucci Peters, Robert Castrucci Jr. (wife Holly Castrucci), Kenneth Castrucci (wife Elizabeth Castrucci), Donna Spegal (husband Mark Spegal), and the youngest child, my mother, Barbara Beckman (husband Michael Beckman).

While working, Carole ran Tiny Times Nursery and Kindergarten, taking care of children at the daycare where she and my mother worked. Later after retiring, she loved gardening her favorite flowers in her yard, and taking many beach vacations with all her children, where she loved to collect seashells and sharks teeth, sometimes lying in the water all day. Always surrounded by animals, friends, her children, 16 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and counting. Some of my favorite memories with my Grandma and Grandpa were our weekly grocery day trips finished with cheese coneys at the Skyline restaurant and bingo nights at the local church.

Unfortunately, after battling with Alzheimer’s disease, Carole left this earth on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 to rejoin her husband Robert on his birthday, along with her two daughters, brother, and parents. Her loving spirit and joyful personality will be missed by the many people who she touched throughout her life. Funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Rd, Fairfield, Ohio, on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp officiating.  Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
