Carolyn J. Fuerst

Carolyn J. Fuerst, age 76 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Carolyn was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 8, 1942 to Joseph and Naomi (nee Stanifer) Urmanic. On April 5, 1962 she married the love of her life, Raymond Fuerst. Carolyn, an avid reader, enjoyed her time working at the Lane Public Library in Lindenwald. Her love of cooking, lead her to working as a Chef’s Assistant with Chef Marilyn Harris. During her lifetime she continuously knitted, crocheted, and did needle point; winning ribbons and many items were put on display. Carolyn loved traveling with her husband on many cruises; her favorite destination being Paris.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Fuerst; her children, Leah Johnson, Doug (Darlene) Fuerst, Kay Fuerst-Webb and Toby Fuerst; her grandchildren, Joseph, Michelle, Christina, Danielle, Kenny, Brittany, Olivia, and Steven; her 8 great-grandchildren; her brother, Gary (Loraine) Urmanic; her sister-in-laws, Alberta Wirsch, Joan (Richard) Biltz, and Peggy (John) Palermo; and many other loving famly members and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister-in-law, Barbara (Virgil) Sparks.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington St., Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hamilton.
