Carolyn Ann Mayes

Carolyn Ann Mayes, age 80 of Fairfield, passed away at Hospice of Blue Ash on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Carolyn was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 5, 1943 to John Franklin Einsfeld and Roseland Mae (Wallace) Einsfeld. Carolyn enjoyed traveling, bingo, going to the casino, but most of all spending time with family and friends.  She enjoyed celebrating her wedding anniversaries at Myrtle Beach with her kids and grandkids for over 40 years. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Lori (David) Compton, Lisa Walker, and Theresa (Guy) Grau; four grandchildren, Michelle, Tiffany, B.J., and Trista (Jon); her great grandchildren, Destany (Shawn), Tyler, Hunter (Spencer), and Tanner, Hannah, Leo, and Carolyn; her great great grandchildren, Kayden, Grayson, and Parker; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Christmas. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwin Mayes; her parents, John Franklin Einsfeld and Roseland Mae Einsfeld; her brother, John C. Einsfeld, and a sister in infancy Mary Elizabeth Einsfeld. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Kris Theobald officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Boys Town National Research Hospital.
