Carolyn E. (Rush) Retherford

Carolyn E. (Rush) Retherford, age 62 of Hamilton, passed away at Doverwood Health Care on Monday, September 4, 2017. Carolyn was born in London, Kentucky on August 15, 1955 to Elbert Rush Sr. and Wanda (Mullins) Rush. Carolyn loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Doug (Cassie Johnson) Rush and Carolyn (Steve Bowling) Bailey; her mother, Wanda Rush; her siblings, Elbert (Cindy) Rush Jr., Wanda (Bill) Sparks, JoAnne (Greg) Rand, Joyce (Gordy) Hacker, Brenda (Roger) Geisler; step-children Adam Taylor and Anthony Taylor; grandchildren, Anna Bowling, Autumn Bowling, Stephen Bowling Jr., Crystal Lexie Rush, Cody Fouts and Kasey Fouts; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Elbert Rush Sr.; and her husband, Tim Retherford.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Galen Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. www.browndawsonflick.com
