Carolyn (Rice) Smith

Carolyn (Rice) Smith, age 47 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 7:07 PM. She was born in Hamilton on September 20, 1963 the daughter of Richard and Martha (Riddell) Rice. Carolyn was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Parkside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for 20 years. She was a born again member of Miltonville Baptist Church. On July 12, 2006 in Hamilton she married Christopher D. Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher D. Smith of Hamilton; three sisters, Rose (Robert) Weigel of Hamilton, Henrietta Wahl of Versailles, Indiana, and Mary Bauer of Hamilton; her mother-in-law, Jeanette Smith; sisters-in-law Kathy, Patty, and Trudy; brother-in-law, Curtis; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Rice.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Eric Brazelton of Miltonville Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
