Catherine S. Rose

Catherine S. Rose, age 64, of Liberty Twp., passed away at her home on Saturday October 13, 2007. She was born in Butler County on November 4, 1942 the daughter of Robert and Sally M. (Gabbard) Sandlin. Cathy was employed at Avon for 35 years retiring in 2002. She was a member of First Church of God in Fairfield Twp. Cathy was a hard working and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Gary K. Rose of Liberty Twp.; her children, Deborah (Greg) Caskey of Fairfield Twp., James (Missy) Chapman of Kansas City, Missouri, and Daphne (Jimmy Joseph) Wilkins of Fairfield Twp.; a step son, Brandon Rose of Fairfield Twp.; seven grandchildren, Holly, Mitch, Jaymee, Jayson, Dusten, Danielle, and Abbi; a sister, Brenda Jean Sandlin of Fairfield Twp.; two half brothers, Paul and Eli Sandlin of Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Jones.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all her caregivers during her illness for their care and concern.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Thursday, Oct. 18th at 1:00 PM with Dr. Keith Gebhart of First Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
