Cathy Sue Spradling

Cathy Sue Spradling (Newton), age 66, passed away on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 in Little River, South Carolina. Cathy was born on February 19, 1958, in Hamilton, Ohio. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1976 and worked at Proctor and Gamble as an Executive Administrative until her retirement in 2014. She was a member at The Calvary Church until retiring to South Carolina with her squeezie, John in 2018. Cathy dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren whom she loved a “big ole bunch.” Her love, faith, warm smile, generosity and resilience will always be cherished by those who knew her.

Cathy is survived and will be dearly missed by her partner, John Ventura; parents, Irene and Elijah Mays; children, Aaron Spradling, Ashley Lemmons, and Steven (Tram) Ventura; grandchildren, Maxwell Spradling and Lela Lemmons; brothers, Chet (Jane) Mays, Tony (Tina) Mays; sister, Sherry Mays; aunt, Linda (Glen) Ballinger; and the mini golf family. She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Newton.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Rose Hill Burial Park.
