Ces (Fran) Couch

Frances (Fran) Couch, age 60 of Somerville passed away at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 9, 2010. She was born in Richmond, Virginia on February 11, 1950 the daughter of Marion Haywood Sims Sr. and Mary Ethel (Brooks) Sims. Frances was a self-employed tax preparer for many years. On May 21, 1980 in Illinois, she married Lane Couch, and he preceded her in death in 1988.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Carl) Moore of Somerville; a stepson, Robert Lane (Kelly) Couch of Fairfield; her mother, Mary Sims of Richmond, Virginia; three brothers, Haywood Sims Jr. of Richmond, Virginia, John (Faye) Sims of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Ricky Sims of Richmond, Virginia; two grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Colton Lane Moore and Lacey Paige Moore; and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her father and husband.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Asher Jr. of Rock of Salvation officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the family.
