Chad Edward Downey

Chad Edward Downey, age 53 of Hamilton, passed awaypeacefully on April 11, 2026. Chad was born in Hamilton, OH on October 5th, 1972 to Janice and Edward “BB” Downey. He was an avid reader, writer, movie-goer, trivia enthusiast, and musician his entire life, especially known for his love of Stephen King novels, and shows such as the X-Files. He was a beloved supervisor at Express Scripts for nearly 25 years, and brought so much joy to everyone who met him, especially while playing bass with his band of best friends, “Caffeine,” for decades. Off of the stage one of Chad’s greatest joys in life was being an amazing father to his son Dravin, who he shared all of his favorite interests with, and loved dearly.

Chad is survived by his mother, Janice Downey; his sister Tisha Downey; his son Dravin Downey; and his fiancé Susan Conover. Chad was preceded in death by his father, Edward “BB” Downey.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 5:00PM to 7:00 PM with a service to follow at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave in Hamilton, OH, 45011.
