Charles Ray Anderson

Charles Ray Anderson, age 69 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11:10 PM. He was born in Burning Springs, Kentucky on May 8, 1942 the son of Carl and Doris (Thompson) Anderson. Charles was employed as a foreman at the Kornylak Corporation for 47 years, retiring in 2008. On June 10, 1985 in Georgetown, Kentucky he married Delilah "Dolly" Anderson, and she preceded him in death in 2009. Charles was an outstanding Dad and Papaw who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by six children, Tina (Jimmy) Steele, Tim Payne, Tiger (Lori) Payne, Brian Anderson, Sherry Nickels, and Melissa (James) Brown; two brothers, William (Margie) Anderson and Bobby (Susan) Anderson; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Bambi Jones; a brother, Elmer Anderson; and a sister, Lois Morris.

A memorial service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 5:00 PM with Pastor Sonny Hurd of Lighthouse Fellowship officiating. A memorial gathering will be held Monday from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather after the memorial service at the St. Clair Township Community Center, 2488 Summit Street, Overpeck, Ohio 45055.
