Charles A. Blankenship

Charles A. Blankenship, age 90 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday morning, November 12, 2018. Charles was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 25, 1928 to Ova Blankenship and Lucy (Loman) Blankenship. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. Charles was a Machinist by trade, with hobbies including building houses with his father and brother in law, farming and raising cattle with his two sons, and extensive traveling with family and friends. In 1972 Charles co-founded Miami Machine Corporation and served as President until his retirement in 2001.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gwen Blankenship; two children, Greg Blankenship and Gary Blankenship; three grandchildren, Dustin Blankenship, David Blankenship, and Devan Blankenship; one sister, Nettie Jane Baker; nieces and nephews, Larry Reynolds, Jeff (Terri) Baker, and Laura (Tom) York. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Ova Blankenship and Lucy Blankenship; brother in law and best friend Leroy Baker.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Alan Weaver and Rev. Hugh Rosenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Tri County Assembly of God.
