Charles Joseph Ellaback Jr.

Charles Joseph Ellaback Jr., age 94 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Friday, December 17, 2010. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on December 15, 1916 the son of Charles Joseph Sr. and Nellie (Drew) Ellaback. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II and was employed as a pharmacist at Good Samaritan Hospital, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. On August 28, 1946 he married Helen Davidson, and she preceded him in death in 1998.

He is survived by a son, Jerome (Linda) Ellaback of Cincinnati; a daughter, Barbara Russell of Hamilton; a sister, Mary Burk of Cincinnati; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Robin Grimsley; a grandson Ryan Russell; a sister, Rosemary Fallon; and a great-grandson, James Grimsley Jr.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, 1302 Millville Avenue, on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Patrick Duffy and Fr. Jeff Bacon, Celebrants. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Monday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
