Charles Linus Hedges

Charles Linus Hedges, age 81 of West Chester passed away at his residence on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 12:45 AM. He was born in Hamilton on December 27, 1930 the son of Earl and Luella (Conrad) Hedges. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1955. He was employed as a general foreman for CHC Fabricating for 31 years, retiring in 1992. Charles was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, and a life member of AmVets and K of C. On July 19, 1947 in Hamilton he married Maggie Parsley.

He is survived by his wife, Maggie Parsley of West Chester; a daughter, Andrea (David) Jorgensen of West Chester; two grandchildren, Andrew Lagan and Emily Lagan; and three sisters, Janet Adelsperger, Zita Koelblin, and Eileen Hedges, all of Fairfield; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in West Chester Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
