Charles Anderson Lewis Sr., age 77 of Hamilton passed away at University of Cincinnati Hospital on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 6:15 PM. He was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on July 11, 1933 the son of Henderson and Ethel (Lawson) Lewis. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1957. On December 7, 1956 in Somerset, Kentucky he married Betty Miller. He was employed as a material handler for the Pease Company for 40 years; after his retirement he worked part-time for Pease Warehouse Outlet until 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lewis of Hamilton; a son, Charles Lewis Jr. of Hamilton; a daughter, Debbie (Bob) Peterson of New Richmond, Wisconsin; a brother, Marshall Lewis of Fowler, Indiana; three grandchildren, Lisa (Edmond) Brewer, Ronnie (Amy) Ericksen, and Ruth Anne (Matt) Kobs, all of New Richmond, Wisconsin; and seven great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Grace Brewer, Lee, Sam, Max, and Will Ericksen, and Caleb Kobs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henderson Lewis and Ethel Clouse; his stepfather, Frank Clouse; three brothers, Bob Lewis, Richard Clouse, and Hershall Lewis; and two sisters, Hazel Lewis and Georgia Lee Clouse.
